Ovum Named a Fast Company 2026 World Changing Idea Winner in Asia-Pacific

Empowering Women Through AI-Driven Health Innovation

We're proud to share that Ovum has been recognised by Fast Company as a winner in its 2026 World Changing Ideas Awards for the Asia-Pacific region, celebrating innovative solutions that are creating meaningful impact and improving lives around the world.

This recognition reflects our mission: to transform women's healthcare by giving every woman the tools, information, and confidence to better understand her body and advocate for her health.

Reimagining Women's Health

For too long, women's health has been underserved, under-researched, and fragmented. Many health platforms focus on a single stage of life, such as fertility, leaving women without comprehensive support through the many changes and challenges they experience throughout their lives.

At Ovum, we're building something different.

Our intelligent health platform brings together medical records, symptoms, menstrual cycle data, lifestyle factors, and personal health history to create a dynamic, personalised view of each user's health. By using AI to connect these insights, we're helping women identify patterns, prepare for medical appointments, ask informed questions, and make empowered decisions about their care.

Importantly, Ovum is designed to support women across a broad spectrum of health experiences and conditions—not just reproductive health. From ADHD and PCOS to mental health, hormonal changes, and complex chronic symptoms, we're building a platform that reflects the interconnected nature of women's health across every life stage.

Our vision has always been simple: every woman deserves access to information that helps her understand her health and feel seen, heard, and supported.

Growing Impact

Since launching in August 2025, Ovum has grown to more than 22,000 downloads across Australia and beyond and achieved a retention rate four times higher than the average health app, underscoring the demand for more personalised, continuous support in women's healthcare.

Beyond engagement, we're building a longitudinal women's health dataset with the potential to advance research and improve health outcomes at scale. Already, 83% of women using Ovum have consented to share their de-identified data for research, demonstrating both the trust our community places in us and the urgent need for better data and insights in women's health.

We're also collaborating with hospitals and medical professionals to explore how intelligent, patient-centred technology can support women through every stage of life, from puberty and reproductive health to perimenopause, menopause, and beyond.

Technology That Creates Real Change

Being recognised by Fast Company alongside other purpose-driven innovations across the Asia-Pacific region reinforces what we believe deeply: technology has the power to create meaningful change when it's built around real human needs.

At Ovum, we aren't simply building another health app. We're building a future where women have access to personalised, proactive, and intelligent healthcare support, where they can better understand their bodies, advocate for themselves, and ultimately achieve better health outcomes.

At the same time, we're creating one of the most comprehensive longitudinal datasets in women's health, unlocking new opportunities to better understand conditions that have historically been under-researched and overlooked.

This recognition is an honour, but more importantly, it's a reminder that there is still so much work to do. We're incredibly grateful to our community of users, clinicians, partners, and supporters who continue to help us redefine what's possible in women's health.

Together, we're building a healthier future for women everywhere.
